Caleb wins a prize!
Celebrating his winning prize, a blow up ballon that you draw the face of your favorite person and hit it when frustrated. HHMMM, I wonder whose picture will end up on this.....Becca..

Second Day---Powder Time! (OK, frozen granular time)

Too Worn Out to stand for the music
Too much caffeine

Woke up and eating by 7:15am. Don the bus driver gets us smoothly to Ski Wolf Ridge north of Asheville(about 30minutes from Asheville). Beautiful mountain views. Slope was a little slick but no injuries today(yeah!). I'm amazed how the kids respond to Becca's instructions and how "on time" they follow her schedule.

Due to possible heavy snow starting tomorrow afternoon, we are cutting short our trip by about 14 hours. So we are leaving tomorrow, either around noon or if snow has not started about 4pm..Deodorant will be the word for today for these pubescents. Should arrive at the church around 2am.

Went back to Shackleford Hall for praise worship and New Year's celebration. of course we cut out early due to having to get back to the hotel and pack up for wednesday long day. Our youth talk was given again about Andy Lambert and was very inspiring. The kids seem to really relate to his humor and message. He had them cracking up afterward when just talking to some of the kids in our group.

Wore out!

Well at least most of us..some still able to stand for praise music. Long day tomorrow-ski and headed home directly from the slopes. Should be one smelly bus.

First Day Wrap Up

Checking in The Wheels on the Bus...

Becca got us all of Martin quick. Don is our bus driver and excellent. Great Breakfast atCracker Barrell and lunch at Wendy's or McDonalds. Bus was suprisingly more quiet than I thought these yahoos were capable of!! Pizza served in hallway with a buffet table made up of two ironing boards placed end to end. Becca is very resourceful to say the least. Program at Shackleford Hall was inspiring with a cool Christian band, silly songs, a stupid dance (I personally can't dance), and a great message on how we need to listen to God's voice no matter how we are deluged in today's modern world. (By the way, did you know King Solomon had 700 wives and 300 concubines)(We were informed that John Deere makes the best concubines). Everyone was ready to sleep and we are back at it this morning and ready for breakfast. Ready to ski! Pray for powder!
